Mnemonic Layers

The project starts from pictures taken from my smartphone’s memory, my Facebook and Instagram profiles. Slowing down the daily stream of pictures the work puts in place new playful but, at the same time, thoughtful and emotional relations. The pictures are digitally manipulated, printed and superimposed to form temporary assemblages. Notion of photography is expanded to the tridimensional space by collapsing frames, staggering the resulting visual fragments and  by distributing them on different layers. The work reproduce the mechanism of the forming of memory.
